Committed to safety through training and education
Willand is committed to health and safety standards year round. Our crews are well trained throughout the year and maintain a “Safe Day” policy at all times whether working in our own yard or at our customers’ sites. Our training programs are tailored to bring awareness to our staff and to educate them in standards that require adherence and follow-through. We have zero-tolerance for unsafe practices and maintain a zero-incident culture through supervision.
Our programs include:
- Online landscape safety courses and certifications
- Hands-on practical training in our own facility
- Periodic CPR and first aid training with St. John Ambulance
- On-going safety audits by the Health and Safety Committee
- Safety inspections of customer properties
- Risk analysis
